During the NaP Instructor's Basic Training, you will learn how to systematically implement an active NaP interaction process that increases interaction and the adult's ability to reflect (so-called reflective ability) on the child and the interaction, either in a group format or with families. It is also possible to qualify as an instructor for both forms of work.
When facilitating a NaP session, a manual is followed.
In implementing NaP, it is important that the trainee learns and commits to working according to the model. The NaP model includes preparing the parent for the work (NaP interview), implementing NaP sessions according to the model, videotaping the sessions, and asking for feedback from parents.
After NaP Instructor Basic Training, facilitators are required to participate in monthly supervision sessions. During these supervision sessions, cases are reviewed and video samples are shared.

(Pregnancy, Baby, and Toddler groups)
The training takes place in two parts after the Instructor Basic Training for a total of 1 + 2 days.
NaP Group and Family Facilitator trainings include a mandatory Introductory Basic Training day. During the day, the goals of NaP work are studied (Emotional Availability Theory, Reflective Working, Supporting Emotional Regulation). After the Introductory Basic Training day, you can participate in either Group, Family, or both.
Following the first period of instruction, you will start working on your own. For certification, two videotaped work supervision clips of your own work with a group will need to be submitted. These are prepared for the second period of instruction and done according to instructions (e.g., only part of the video is watched together, with ready-made questions). The second period of instruction takes place via Zoom.
